For the chefs at Mercer Greens, a salad isn't just some afterthought relegated to opening-act status before a flashier entree. Instead, its a chance to showcase the flavorful, versatile foodstuffs of the Pacific Northwest. They start each one of their gourmet salads with organic greens sourced from Woodinville's 21 Acres Farm and Puget Sound Food Hub. These beds of butter lettuce, arugula, spring mix, and other welcome a host of equally healthy toppings; the shop's menu includes takes on everything from the walnut-and-apple-filled orchard salad to a watermelon-kissed version of the classic caprese. These salad primarily make their home at Mercer Greens' Woodinville location, but they've also been know to travel; during the summer months, salad makers can be found at outdoor events including the city's Summer Concerts in the Park series.
