For centuries, women in Eastern countries have relied on threading techniques to remove errant hair. Today, the technicians at Kira Threading have it down to a veritable science—with help from its incredibly simple nature. During sessions, a threading specialist rolls and twists a thin cotton thread across the skin, removing multiple hairs at the follicle level and doing so in a straight line. That precision makes the technique ideal for shaping eyebrows. Unlike waxing, which can leave the skin red, irritated, and prone to attracting candlewicks, threading removes only the hair and leaves the skin fuzz-free for up to a month around the arms, brows, and chin.
