The cupping technique creates a vacuum, using heat or suction, in a glass or plastic cup on the surface of the skin. This vacuum raises the skin and helps allow blood to circulate underneath, and can help with sore muscles and lumbar strain. While the treatment does leave marks on the skin, they aren’t painful and disappear after a few days.
