About Afterguard Sailing Academy

Afterguard Sailing Academy's Intro to Sailing courses are a great way to get a taste of the passion held by so many people across the world. Guests can sample life at sea during the journey over the estuary. If it suits their interests, they can get more in-depth training with the BK1 program, which teaches knots, sailboat parts, sail trim, steering, and proper crewing techniques over the course of two days.

The fully accredited ASA academy's team of instructors also teaches comprehensive American Sailing Association certification courses, which aim to transition ordinary passengers to reach their sailing goals and become crew members and skippers for more independent sailing adventures of all types. As students progress, instructors teach more advanced lessons, such as bay basics and ocean sailing. Aside from these lessons, the captains also run a nonprofit sailing academy for youth.
