What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
Athena's Oasis offers Dermalogica facials, Lash Lifts, Sugaring (hair removal), Body Treatments and an Infrared Sauna. I'm a small business owner and every customer is precious to me. When you are here, you are the only thing on my mind and your satisfaction is my number one goal.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business? A single facial changed my life. I was having a very bad day and everything seemed to be going wrong. I made an appointment for a facial at my favorite spa and walked out inspired. I knew then that skin care was what I want to do with my life. The next steps were easy once that decision was made. Quit work, go back to school, gain some experience and start a spa.
What do you love most about your job? I feel like a TV show detective sometimes. Every person who comes to me has their own set of concerns. They want smoother skin, longer looking lashes, or simple relaxation. I evaluate their situation, talk to them about their lifestyle, find out what does and doesn't affect their skin then work with them to develop both a spa experience and at-home care regimen that will help them meet their goals.
What is the best reaction you've ever gotten from a customer? There are two reactions that really make me feel like a million bucks. One is when my client walks out of the sauna room or looks in the mirror after a treatment with a huge smile and a sense of peace or excitement...and thanks me for helping them feel their best. The second is when a client refers me to their friends and family because that trust means the world to me.
