What’s your favorite part about your job?
My clients. Meeting new people and growing a really in-depth personal relationship with each person. I am extremely personable and very open. I find that clients will confide in me. I am a safe place and person to talk to, and I absolutely love and value that. My clients know that every conversation, treatment, and personal information is confidential. I cherish the fact that my clients know that I always have their best interest at hand; that I will always make time for them. I provide personal information so they always have access to me for their questions and any concerns they may have.
The interior of a business can affect how its customers feel. What kind of decor do you use to help make your clients feel pampered and at ease?
When you first walk in, you are greeted with a sense of warmth. I offer a very cozy environment with a fireplace, warm colors, and light aromas. You are always greeted with a warm smile and asked if you would like a beverage (water, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, or even a glass of wine). The treatment room itself offers a very comfortable bed and has a darling lit chandelier with candles (battery-operated), allowing a nice, soft glow. Clients always have the opportunity to add any waxing or services prior to their facial, or a hot oil treatment to hands and feet followed by aromatherapy footies, hand mittens, and relaxing massage. This treatment leaves the hands and feet feeling like soft butter. The treatment room offers a personal space for clients to hang their personal belongings, but always having everything close by.
What is the best reaction you’ve ever gotten from a client?
Complete astonishment and elated joy when they are handed the mirror after their treatment. It's amazing.
Is there anything else you want to add that we didn't cover?
One of the best compliments I receive from my clients is when they fall asleep during a facial and or back facial. They tell me they are so comfortable and relaxed. I often hear snoring—it's the best.
