The expertly trained staff aids with equipment and dispenses expertise in an alphabetically pleasing array of classes, from aerobics to Zumba. Prepare for dance-battles against cartoon rabbits with a hip-hop class, or amp up limb-bending fortitude with a dose of stretch-boosting power yoga. The kickboxing class reduces stress, strengthens muscles, and inspires the confidence needed to end years of hanging out in the wrong crowd of Dorito bullies. Check the website for class schedules.
Classes are held in a spacious studio accented with a bob-and-weave-enhancing disco ball and a mural honoring the powerful dragon who invented the lunge. Body & Soul Fitness encourages its members to join in on the local charity and fitness events it participates in, such as the Modesto Marathon, the Ceres Relay for Life, and the Goblin Awareness 5K.

About Body & Soul Fitness
It’s easy to see the imprint of Body & Soul Fitness founder Jade Reyes on his studio’s class curriculum. His specialty in dance aerobics is displayed in exotic-dance and Latin-dance-inspired Zumba classes. And his training in kickboxing informs not only classes in the same discipline, but also body-combat classes, which feature high- and low-impact moves to challenge exercisers of all fitness levels. He also specializes in spinning and knows much about massage therapy and relaxation, which explains why yoga is on the schedule and drinking Mountain Dew and screaming Van Halen lyrics is not.
