What You'll Get
The human body, unlike raisins, white wine, and the wit of Oscar Wilde, isn't meant to be dry. Return to man's natural habitat with today's Groupon to Air & Earth in Mount Pleasant. Choose between the following options:
• For $10, you get a one-day surfboard rental (a $20 value).
• For $15, you get a one-day paddleboard rental (a $30 value).
Air & Earth outfits aqua adventurers with surfboards and standup paddleboards to serve as trusty steeds on daylong escapades into watery climes. Surfers of all skill levels can tame the breakers with rental boards, which come with all the necessary gear such as riding crops and jodhpurs. Paddleboarders can sow the seeds of adventure in aquatic pastures with daylong rentals. While gliding across breaking waves and surging surf, perched atop their wide boards as they wield spear-length paddles, boarders remain impervious to siren calls and dolphin attack raids. A U.S. Coast Guard–approved flotation device is required for any adult paddleboarding outside of the surf zone (additional $10).
Rentals can be picked up at Air & Earth after 10 a.m. and must be returned on the same day by 5 p.m.

About Air & Earth
The crash of the waves. The smell of salt spray. Sudden gusts of wind whipping in from off the water. For most people, a trip to the beach is a once-in-a-while vacation, but for the aquatic athletes at Air & Earth, it's just another day at the office. Armed with an armada of paddle boards, surfboards, kiteboards, and skateboards, their instructors share their own water-walking know-how during lessons held on the gentle surf that laps the shores of Mt. Pleasant and the surrounding barrier islands. After learning the ropes atop their board of choice, customers can decamp to the board shop, where new equipment and accessories from brands including Palm Head Boards, Dakine, Smith, Olukai and Reef await new owners.
