What You'll Get
Amateur sleuths never leave their dwellings without an oversized magnifying glass, a ponderous expression, and an easily kidnappable sidekick. Explore Philadelphia's mysteries with today's Groupon, which gets you entry into the CitySolve Urban Race Adventure on Saturday, April 16, which begins at noon at Field House (a $50 value) on Filbert Street. Choose one of the following Groupons:
- For $25, you get entry for one person (a $50 value).
- For $50, you get entry for a team of two (a $100 value).
- For $75, you get entry for a team of three (a $150 value).
Teams must be either two or three people, though entrants can register individually and team up after they've registered. On race day, teams will walk, skip, or run (highly recommended) through the unknown nooks of the city, gathering and solving clues that will lead one lucky team to a $300 prize. The race will take you throughout the city of Brotherly Love to top-secret spots to be discovered on race day, leading participants into neighborhoods such as Center City, the University of Pennsylvania, Society Hill, Kevin Bacon's backyard, and more. Along the way, teams will solve clues, answer questions, and complete challenges such as building a house of cards or bowling a strike. The top three teams with the fastest legs and sharpest puzzle-solving skills will also win free entry to the championship race in Las Vegas on November 5 to compete for the $5,000 grand prize. Best costumes, top family, top senior, and best tweet will also win a prize or $50 gift certificate to a local restaurant or retail store. Check in is from 11:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. The competition begins at noon and usually takes about three to five hours to complete.
Participants must have a teammate to compete.
