Daddis Fight Camps' martial-arts masters lead students of all levels through the basics of punching, kicking, and grappling in classes that cover more than a half-dozen martial-arts disciplines. Brazilian jiu-jitsu and muay thai kickboxing let attendees discover new cultures and methods of conflict without the dangers of mocking a gorgon's accent. In mixed-martial-arts classes, participants sample fighting techniques that range from basic boxing punches to dramatic wrestling takedowns. Kickboxing strengthens the cardiovascular system, burns calories, and enables participants to wrestle jars of pickles until they reveal their secrets. Students lift and swing cannonball-shaped weights in kettlebell workouts, and boxing sessions incorporate footwork practice and drills that cultivate hand speed.

Helmed by founder Brad Daddis, the Philadelphia- and New Jersey-based operation works with individuals all ages, genders, and athletic abilities. An assorted selection of programs speaks to that diversity, and includes Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai Boxing, and even a Tactical Urban Defense course. In that, students learn practical self-defense techniques, specifically those in close quarters combat they can use against a mugger or particularly tight blood-pressure cuff.
