What You'll Get
Before it was associated with dance, "poetry in motion" was a gladiator event where poets tested their mettle by reciting haikus while being fired from a canon. Enjoy a safer form of moving poetry with today's Groupon: for $49, you get a dance package, for one person or a couple, including four private dance lessons, two group classes, and two practice parties at DanceSport on the plaza in Mishawaka (up to a $99 value).
With a fleet of dance instructors who compete locally and nationally on a regular basis, DanceSport inspires students of all ages to learn a variety of ballroom and Latin dance steps and routines. Thirty-minute private lessons form the groundwork for rhythmic two-stepping as students work one-on-one with a teacher at a comfortable pace, receiving undivided attention and immediate answers to inquiries, such as whether it is dangerous to eat 30 minutes before synchronized swimming. During 40-minute group classes, dancing peers meet one another and boost material retention as they focus on steps from specific dances, including swing, salsa, waltz, rumba, and merengue. Regular practice parties present a fun, encouraging environment outside the classroom setting where dancers can socialize and practice what they learned throughout the week.
DanceSport endeavors to make learning how to dance as fun, easy, and comfortable as possible. Its studio space boasts a charming nightclub atmosphere complete with hanging lights, spacious dance floors, and glow-in-the-dark tuxedo rental. To protect loose feet from unnecessary aching, DanceSport built floating dance floors, suspending the wooden surface to give them a slightly soft feel that's less jarring on joints when twirling, leaping, or boxing a misplaced kangaroo.

About Dancesport Academy of Granger
The certified teachers at Dancesport Granger recognize that people dance for all kinds of reasons; accordingly, they structure different programs to meet the needs of everyone from casual dancers hoping to light up the dance floor at an upcoming party to perfectionists in the pursuit of lifelong grace. Their lessons incorporate a multitude of styles, including tango, merengue, foxtrot, and rain dances. On Friday nights, students can practice what they've learned in dance parties, which are set to premade mixes in a room with dimmed lights and an open bar.
