What You'll Get
Getting out of the house is often hampered by the fact that most houses are located inside a bigger and fancier house. Step outside of the house outside of your house with today's Groupon: for $37, you get one seat in a tandem parasailing ride from Destin Parasailing, which departs from Destin Harbor (a $75 value).
Destin Parasailing suspends sightseers above water to attain gulls-eye views of the Gulf of Mexico. Up to 12 adventurists at a time will board one of the fleet’s three parasailed sloops— Flyin’ High, Straight Up, or Come Hang —each of which has been meticulously inspected for safety by an expert that is fluent in confusing nautical jargon. Airy pairs are then strapped into a tandem rig, which is checked daily by United States Coast Guard–certified captains to help ensure safety and make for a more comfortable atmospheric ascent. The passengers will then be windswept for 12 to 15 minutes up in the chute to absorb views of the sparkling water below and discover what clouds taste like. Trips run for about one hour each and depart daily from Destin Harbor from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., weather permitting. Reservations are required.
