During Calypso Scuba's four-hour Try Scuba class, novice divers undergo a comprehensive scuba orientation before honing beginning dive skills in the heated, indoor aquatic simulator. Certified dive instructors guide students through an equipment initiation, as well as a brief course on scuba fundamentals such as equalizing pressure, moving through the water, and repurposing old diving gear into formalwear. Newly elucidated pupils can conclude the course with a splash around the on-site simulator to practice underwater skills such as buoyancy and using your smartphone to locate nearby reefs.
