Passengers embark from Cocoa Beach aboard a US Coast Guard-inspected boat and sail to a remote island rich with natural wildlife. The group can explore the island, collecting seashells, before swimming into waters inhabited by manatees and dolphins. Although participants maintain a safe, but close, distance from manatees and dolphins in order to preserve their natural habitat, the animals are naturally curious and may swim closer.
Adventures in Paradise Tours
On Adventures in Paradise Tours' dolphin and manatee tours, guests of all ages board the boat for a short cruise through Cocoa Beach's Intracoastal to a remote island, where they will see sand bars full of collectible sea shells and can observe native lizards and Florida birds including the pelican, melrose, spoonbill, and more. After exploring the tropical island, guests swim into the water to observe the dolphins and manatees from a safe distance to avoid disturbing their natural way of life, watching for their noses to pop up through the water. In their natural habitat these animals are very curious, allowing guests to see them up close.
At Adventures in Paradise Tour's 36-acre zoo, guests can look up and spot colorful Floridian birds; or glance down and find all manner of turtles as they glide in and out of nine spring-fed ponds. The former gator farm (which still houses a few small gators) is home to winding nature trails, fully-stocked fishing ponds, and an ever-growing petting farm. Here, guests can interact with baby ducks, baby pigs, a miniature pony, mini alpaca, and other wonderful animals. The farm itself is over 150 years old, with more than 200 animals to see, including ring tail lemurs, miniature horses, and Sassy the pig. After a complimentary hay ride, you can even purchase fresh eggs from and tilapia from the fish farm, and homemade honey from their beehives.
