El Tio Tex-Mex Grill in DC food and drink menus celebrate variety. Chefs prepare an extensive range of entrees, from fish tacos with broiled, tortilla-crusted tilapia to 10-ounce rib-eye steaks topped with mushroom tequila sauce. The tequila sauce uses Patrón, but the bar holds more than 40 other tequilas to mix into margaritas, serve with a wedge of lime, or carefully organize by color when the bartender's back is turned. Desserts include dishes such as fried bananas, flan, and sopaipillas, a puff pastry covered with honey and cinnamon.
