Getting in shape, much like speed-reading Russian literature, requires concentration and the strength to forge ahead through painful, protracted inner monologues. Forge ahead toward fitness with today’s Groupon: for $99, you get a one-month membership to Front Range Adventure Boot Camp for Women in Wheat Ridge (a $199 value).
Led by certified personal trainer Robyn Morrisette, Front Range Adventure Boot Camp for Women ushers its female clientele toward fitness with dynamic workouts in small groups. The results-driven program features exercises specifically crafted to create speedy gains in fitness areas such as strength and endurance, leaving participants better able to open pickle jars or run away from mobs of angry pickle jars. Workouts change every day and incorporate any number of diverse techniques, including plyometrics, body-weight exercises, circuit training, medicine balls, and core conditioning. In addition to intense group workouts, before-and-after fitness evaluations showcase progress, and nutritional counseling helps battle the ravages of unhealthy habits and unhealthy attachments to cartoon junk-food spokescats.
A chat with Front Range Fitness for Women
What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition? I provide a fitness facility exclusively for women of all sizes, fitness abilities and walks of life. I cater to busy women just like you who have jobs, kids, significant others, aging parents, stress, and not enough hours in the day to take care if it all. FRFW is home to a demographic of women who aren't adequately served in any other fitness venue. The average age of the women who are part of our community is 35 - 68, and many of us have crabby body parts and injuries that require special attention and modifications on an on-going basis.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business? I had a corporate job working 60 hour weeks, a husband and three small children. That career left me feeling less a mother and less a wife. To preserve my family, my priorities and my sanity, I chose to leave the corporate world and create a life for myself where I felt passion and purpose again. This career path involved fitness, friends AND fun! What a soul enriching way to change a life and empower other women to do the same for themselves!
What do you love most about your job? I get to spend my days with women who are working toward bettering themselves, women who become my best friends. I get to laugh and share stories and give hugs while empowering women to grow beyond self- imposed limits. I get to be at the helm of a community of women whose ultimate goal is to live a profound life full of possibility.
What is the best reaction you've ever gotten from a customer? Cathy is 65 yrs old and has been a client for 2 yrs. She said this: "I LOVE FRFW. It is absolutely the most challenging, inspiring, and friendly place I have had the pleasure to sweat in, alongside a wonderful family of women. Every day is different with new and challenging workouts. What stands out here is that Robyn takes the time to show each of us exactly how to execute each movement. It's the most attention I have ever received in a group setting.
