What You'll Get
Nothing can match the thrill of seeing a concert in person, not even watching it on high-definition Blu-ray or listening to it on a high-definition parrot. Lead singer Hannah Blaylock; mandolin, banjo, and guitar player Cherrill Green; and guitar and dobro player Dean Berner are Edens Edge, a Nashville-based band with roots firmly planted in their home state of Arkansas. The trio—who ventured into the spotlight when they won a contest sponsored by CMT in 2006 and later toured with Brad Paisley, Blake Shelton, and Reba McEntire—lassos the storytelling of pop country and the rustic twang of bluegrass. This sonic hybrid totes a sound that is simultaneously classic and novel, like a violinist who only knows how to play dubstep. During their live shows, Green and Berner masterfully play their instruments while seamlessly harmonizing with Blaylock’s clear soprano, which dips then soars over songs such as “Amen” and “Too Good to Be True.”

Before the concert, ticket holders belly up to the sprawling buffet at Boiler Room Steak House, an eatery that houses a vintage train car. Here, they can dig into dishes the restaurant dubs “new Appalachian cuisine,” such as homestyle green beans, smoked beef brisket, and squash casserole, many of which are anchored by ingredients culled from local vendors.
