Recent mouthstuffs include the pollo con peperone, which pits roasted boneless chicken against roasted peppers in an epic, prime-time battle, all refereed by an airy wine and tomato sauce and a smattering of risotto ($10). The bistecca alla biagion, a petit Florentine-style fillet lounging on a bed of baby arugula, keeps carnivorous appetites at bay ($14), while the vitello margharita, a veal cutlet topped with San Marzano tomato sauce and cheeses, entertains ennuied tongue buds with creamy polenta and an electrifying tambourine solo ($13).
