Grind City CrossFit
To get an idea of what Grind City CrossFit is all about, it's best to look past all the power lifting and tire flipping to what outright beginners learn in the introductory Elements class series. Over the six-week course, new CrossFitters learn about nutrition, goal setting, recovery, and even getting enough sleep—all behind-the-scenes habits that help with getting the most out of their workouts. The overarching goal is improved health, increased energy, and physical gains across 10 domains, from cardiovascular endurance to flexibility to coordination. Though hard work and attendance are up to the students, they're not entirely on their own with helpful coaches always keeping a close eye on technique.
