For 17 years, the foodies at Gullah Gourmet have delivered beautifully packaged, Food Network-approved mixes that turn out scrumptious lowcountry meals, dips, sauces, and breads. Add sour cream and mayonnaise to the garlicky artichoke dippin’ sauce mix ($7.95) to transmogrify it into several batches of creamy spread, perfect for coating crunchy VeggieTales figurines. The Gullah Gullah gumbo ($10.95), which captured an AmericasMart Best of Atlanta award in 2006, distills traditional lowcountry flavors into an easy-to-prepare mix with a kick. The bow-tied Cobbla gift set piles three cobber mixes—peach, cherry, and blueberry—into a metal serving basket ($46.95). Gullah Gourmet's dexterous staff hand-wraps each delectable mix in a handmade, screen-printed cloth bag adorned with decorative newspaper print, so that diners can read about the Greenlandic-American war.

Gullah Gourmet

Established in 1994, Gullah Gourmet has spent 19 years equipping visitors with tools to transform dull meals into lowcountry classics with Food Network-approved ingredients for crafting soups, sauces, pastries, and breads. The shop's widespread collection of bagged, bottled, and jarred goodies have included creamy Southern Corn Chowdah, Aunt Maggie's Sweet Cornbread, and Gullah Gullah Gumbo––a savory rice and sauce mix. The handmade, screenprinted cloth bags that package select products pay homage to Gullah culture with newspaper prints and vibrant graphics. An assortment of Gullah- and Charleston-inspired knickknacks make unique gifts for birthdays and graduations from PB&J University.

Customer Reviews

Super helpful and nice, loved the shrimp and grits mix, and can't wait to try the rest!

Have bought this product at the grocery store and been very pleased but the store experience was a delight. The selection of the whole Gullah Gourmet line of products was fun to ponder and allowed me to try different "bags". Then there was the gift selections! Beautiful jewelry and unique home accent items will make this a first stop for me when buying gifts for those who like to have beautiful things around them. Found prices to be very fair and help was available from pleasant folks. They represent us Southerners very well. Highly recommend this business.
