I would recommend the RIB boat Adventure Tour. It was a lot of fun and the captain was great! Very informative too. We zipped all over the harbor. I would not recommend the Classic Motor Yacht. There was not enough seating outside, the food part was a joke, tiny bowl (more like a chafer dipping dish) with a roll and they wouldn't leave the inner harbor where as all the other cruise operators go out to the outer harbor where its not so hot in the summer time. It was a great and very memorable sunset cruise. The captain and sea-dog were friendly and great hosts. I thoroughly enjoyed this, and was very glad I bought the tickets.

What You'll Get

Bucket lists usually contain boat-based travel, just as most buckets contain water and miniature boats. Exchange this dissatisfying simulacrum for the real thing with today's Groupon to Hestia Cruises. Choose between the following options:

  • For $99, you get two tickets for a two-hour sunset cruise on the motor yacht Full Moon (a $260 value), or a 75-minute high-speed adventure tour in an RIB (rigid inflatable boat) (a $260 value).
  • For $119, you get two tickets for a 90-minute afternoon, sunset, or moonlight cruise aboard the Hestia (a $260 value).

Hestia Cruises feeds famished eyes with oceans and sunsets, courtesy of its fleet of comfortable vessels and wide range of cruises. The Full Moon––a 65-foot 1948 classic-design yacht—navigates the tranquil waters of the Atlantic daily. Departing from Seaport World Trade Center, the Full Moon whisks wave-watchers on a two-hour jaunt through Boston Harbor, where up to 49 passengers will bear witness to the marriage between lavish seascapes and luminous sunrays. Along the way, peckish passengers can chow down on Legal Sea Foods' new england clam chowder and hors d’oeuvres, and a fully licensed cash bar is also available. Hestia-escorted explorers (up to six passengers per tour) are welcome to sit back and take in the glorious sunsets and impromptu-poetry-inducing moonlight—or they can achieve the full boating experience by donning an eye patch and helping with the sail. Hestia passengers can bring their own food, snacks, and drinks. Daredevils with a clean bill of health, meanwhile, can get up close and personal with the history of Boston’s lighthouses, forts, and islands while bulleting across the water in a six-seat RIB speedster. Because of the high speeds, passengers are not allowed to bring any items onboard the boat except those that can fit in the stowaway compartments. For those who fear being pirated by a ruthless gang of brass-knuckled narwhals, all cruises are fully equipped with life vests and a deck-mounted harpoon cannon. Tour departure locations vary for the Hestia and RIB adventure tour. Check the schedule and FAQ section for more details about each cruise. Specific departure information will be given when booking the reservation.

About Hestia Cruises

Gray-hulled naval ships sit stoically by weathered docks, as sailboats and yachts dart to and fro in graceful traffic. The tide ebbs and flows around islands, piers, and against harbor walls under the Boston skyline. Hestia Cruises' four ships glide among this nautical throng, carving wakes across the busy waters on seasonal cruises in the morning, afternoon, at sunset, or under the light of the moon. As the classic 1948 motor yacht Full Moon rumbles through the water, on-board tour guides divulge facts about harbor history and point out ideal landmarks to photograph. The ship's open decks host passengers for sightseeing tours, and its staff also guides morning cruises with massage services or yoga classes, evening voyages with wine and whiskey tastings, and photo-shoot cruises.

Captains also ferry visitors past harbor sights on an EPA-acclaimed private catamaran or the 32-foot Catalina sailboat Hestia, where passengers can help pull lines, unfurl the main sail, and make a mix-tape of sea shanties. They also pilot a rigid inflatable boat—built to Navy Seal specifications—for adventures to far ends of the harbor at speeds of up to 40 miles per hour. The speedy craft lies low to the water, letting passengers feel the harbor's salty spray while hunched securely on saddle-style jockey seats.
