What You'll Get
The pancake was once used in schools to help students visualize Earth’s shape until being succeeded by the globe and, currently, the croissant. Explore a new world of flavor with today’s Groupon: for $7, you get $14 worth of pancakes, burgers, and more at IHOP, valid only at the North Rock Road location in Wichita, KS.
With more than 1,500 North American locations, IHOP whips up a signature menu of buttermilk pancakes and french toast alongside hearty lunch and dinner items. Heat up a chilly spoon with a steaming crock of loaded bacon-and-potato soup ($3.49), insulated with a cheddar blanket and cool sour cream. The pot-roast melt ($7.99) sandwiches slow-cooked USDA Choice beef and caramelized onion between two fresh sourdough slices, and the bacon ‘n' beef cheeseburger ($6.99) packs an all-beef patty and hickory-smoked bacon into close quarters, recalling idyllic barnyard slumber parties. An ample crop of garden salads irrigates taste buds, and a mouthwatering breakfast menu slathers rich hollandaise onto garden-stuffed crêpes ($7.79) and hones card-house-building techniques to carefully stack buttermilk pancakes and fruit-stuffed french toast.

The first IHOP—the dream of founders Al and Jerry Lapin—opened in 1958 in Toluca Lake, California, and was originally dubbed the International House of Pancakes. Since then, rapid expansion has led to myriad milestones across the company's colorful history, from introducing its modern IHOP acronym in 1973 to its 1,000th restaurant opening in Layton, Utah, in 2001.
Today, the company stands strong with around 1,500 locations across North and Central America, each one an enthusiastic dispenser of pancakes, french toast, and tables constructed entirely out of bacon. Though IHOP is known as a bastion of breakfast, it also stays open during the day and into the evening, delivering lunch and dinner as well.
