What You'll Get
Few pastimes combine the joys of the outdoors with exacting physical precision better than golf, except perhaps pin the tail on the cloud. Hone your skills in this demanding yet rewarding game with today’s Groupon to Indian Lakes Golf Club. Choose between the following services:
- For $42, you get one 18-hole round of golf for two with cart rental and a medium bucket of range balls (up to an $85 value).
- For $40, you get a one-hour golf lesson from Jeff Thomsen (an $80 value).
Perched along the second bench of the west Boise Valley, Indian Lakes Golf Club's nine-hole public course backdrops its natural contours and deceptively gentle hills with the Owyhees and a view of the entire valley. Before teeing up at the first hole and gunning your cart between the pine trees lining the fairway, take a few practice cuts with a medium bucket of balls at the club's driving range—or visit the putting green and practice tipping your hat to a crowd of imaginary applauders and less imaginary ringwraiths.
A one-hour lesson with PGA professional Jeff Thomsen prepares golfers of any skill level for the subtle snares and pitfalls that lurk among the meticulously manicured greens.
Indiana Lakes Golf Club's greens fees vary depending on time of day and week. Use your Groupon on the weekend to get the best value.

About Jeff Thomsen Golf
As a PGA-certified pro, Jeff Thomsen's distinguished golf career began decades ago, when the 16-year-old Thomsen swung his way to the Idaho State Amateur championship, becoming the youngest player ever to earn that rarefied distinction. His early success would pave the cart path to a long career that included 175 PGA Tour events, participation in 14 major championships, multiple tournament victories, and once saving a course-side community from a feral golf cart. Today, Jeff showers pupils with golf wisdom culled from both his 38-year competitive career and a certification from the Nicklaus/Flick Golf School. The passionate pedagogue helps players sharpen their game, lengthen their drives, and fold scorecards into paper cranes with hands-on, comprehensive lessons conducted at multiple courses throughout the hills of Treasure Valley.
