For dozens of years, the Chinese have practiced acupuncture, a healing method that corrects imbalances by stimulating specific points on the body that help energy, or qi, to flow smoothly. During most visits, nurses measure your qi pressure, which is similar to measuring your blood pressure except that inflatable thing is placed around your soul. After the procedure, the nurse removes the needles from your body and you're left with the perfect utensil set for bite-size cheese cubes. Teresa Hall at Kwan Yin Holistic Center knows acupuncture. It’s what she does. Her oldest patient is 354 years old.
Today's Groupon tenderly prods your pain away with an acupuncture consultation and session at Kwan Yin Holistic Center. In addition to operating Kwan Yin, founder and acupuncturist Teresa Hall practices with Dr. Jerry Rand to help treat his pain patients.
If you've never tried acupuncture, Kwan Yin is the perfect place to start your journey to a pain-free life. Studies have shown that acupuncture works, providing real pain relief that can last for months. Hall is a certified orthopedic acupuncturist who graduated from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. She also spent time at the Hubei Teaching Hospital in Wuhan, China, as part of her studies and is a trained Reiki master. During the consultation, you'll get an assessment to figure out the perfect points to destroy discomforts, ease afflictions, and calm Mississippi Cricket Shivers. Then you get a full acupuncture session, the traditional Chinese medicine method of using fine filiform needles on specific points of the body in order to relieve pain, promote healing, and cure french-fry-fingers.

Kwan Yin Holistic Center
After recovering from a bout of carbon monoxide poisoning that left her in a coma, Teresa Hall developed a passion for holistic healing methods. After getting degrees in psychology and traditional Oriental medicine, she trained at a hospital in Wuhan, China, then founded Kwan Yin Holistic Center here in the States—naming it after an Asian goddess said to have given up her own enlightenment in order to heal the world’s maladies.
Today, Teresa honors her center’s namesake through holistic services such as acupuncture, herbal remedies, tui na massage, and fertility treatments. In regular workshops and seminars, she teaches novices techniques for performing reiki treatments or getting the replay on a pinball machine every time.
