What You'll Get
Dance can express what words cannot, whether it's the triumphant joy in a football player's post-touchdown pirouette or the passionate tango used to notify roommates that the basement is flooding. Transmit tidings with twinkling toes thanks to today’s Groupon: for $35, you get four weeks of dance classes plus admittance to a social soiree (a $95 value) at Manhattan Ballroom Dance on West 36th Street. Boasting one of New York's largest ballroom-dance studios, these caper captains offer a bright, spacious room in which to twirl, leap, and perpetually sashay. Skilled instructors will release the fleet-footed dancer within, and patrons can choose from two group classes in ballroom-style (covering the waltz, foxtrot, and tango) or Latin-style dance (covering rumba, cha cha, and salsa). Fledgling frolickers will also receive a pass to one of Manhattan Ballroom Dance's many social events, where friend-seeking fancyfooters can meet and pair up with other single shufflers.
- The floor space is huge, especially by Manhattan standards. Overall, great studio! – christina95, Citysearch
- The studio has many world class ballroom teachers, including world champions and Blackpool finalists. It's not exaggerating to say that no matter whose lessons you book, you are in good hands. – Michelle Y, Citysearch

About Manhattan Ballroom Dance
Tall windows fill two walls of Manhattan Ballroom Dance's second-story aerie, sending sunlight sprawling across a 3,000-square-foot hardwood dance floor. Most hours of the day find the studio aflutter with elegant moves led by a staff of international competitive dancers, including globetrotting Latin and mambo champion Oksana Zolotarevskaya. On Saturday evenings, ballroom socials bring students together for class showcases, and refreshments.
