Marini's Stand

In 1928, Joseph Marini, Tony Iorie, Peter Iorie, and Jerry Angelina left Italy and brought their families to the United States. Together, they bought a tract of land and started a farm—what would ultimately become Marini Farm once the other families went their separate ways.

Nearly nine decades later, the third generation of the Marini family farms 200 acres of mixed fruits and vegetables, 100 acres of their popular sweet corn, and 30 acres of pumpkins, gourds, and squash. They send the squash out to local restaurants over the course of the winter. They also fill their greenhouse with colorful plants and stock their farm stand with a bounty of food.

Sweet butter and sugar corn, broccoli, strawberries, and other farm-grown produce and fruit greet the stand's customers, with the selection changing depending on what's in season. The Marinis stock foods from others, too, such as sausage from Niman Ranch or honey from bees local enough to give directions to town without checking their phones.
