One individual or couples counseling session

Pastoral Counselors are certified mental health professionals who have in-depth religious and/or theological training and thus can address psychological and spiritual issues. They have chosen counseling as a vocation in ministry. Pastoral counselors are professional counselors and charge a fee for their services. They are highly educated and experienced. Most pastoral counselors believe they are not paid for counseling, rather, they are paid to keep counseling.

Three individual or couples' counseling session

Pastoral counseling is psychotherapy that takes seriously the spiritual dimension of a person while working with individuals, couples, and families to resolve emotional or relational problems. Pastoral counseling is built on the belief that life’s crises and transitions are best met by the knowledge of psychology and the wisdom of theology, with respect for a person’s faith background and values. However, only if a client so chooses the pastor will directly address specific spiritual issues.

Pastoral" means the services we offer are nurturing & sensitive to the spiritual viewpoints and values of the client. An important supporting belief in our "pastoral" work is that an individual's spiritual life may be a valuable resource for resolving conflicts, healing wounds, and creating meaning and value in the lives of persons who seek counseling at Med Tran Plus
