What You'll Get
We can thank Archduke Leopold Wilhelm, the inventor of bowling, for introducing “The pin is mightier than the sword” and “Fortune favors the bowled” into the cultural lexicon. Heed his words of wisdom with today’s Groupon. For $20, you get six games of bowling and shoe rentals (an up to $43.50 value) at Midway Pro Bowl. This deal is good for one visit, so you can be a single bowler with a six-game commitment, or head up a posse of pin pummelers. Any group size can use today's Groupon.
Headed by proprietor Scott Koecheler, Midway Pro Bowl has been in business for more than 23 years, ever since bowling balls and disco balls were one and the same. Midway's 32 clean, well-lit lanes give you plenty of space to pick a fight with some leering pins. A state-of-the-art electronic scoring system leaves the number-crunching to a crew of scientists in an underground bunker, so there’s no need to bring an abacus. Bowlers who work up a sweaty appetite can pat their hunger dry at the snack bar, which slings burgers, pizza, and other bites (not included in Groupon). Additionally, arcade games and 16 bumper lanes will keep kids occupied while daddy grabs a beer at the lounge bar.
Local-access television shows like “Potatoes and Tornados” can only keep one entertained for so long. Instead, head over to Midway Pro Bowl, where a flurry of flying pins and tasty grub makes TV’s "Boulder Dash" seem like balderdash in comparison. Although not required, reserving lanes and times is recommended.
Five Insider Pagers give Midway Pro Bowl four stars, applauding its size, cleanliness, and friendly staff:
- Very big! Lots of lanes and the staff is great. New monitors which is always nice. The kids love coming here, but it's also great to come with friends and have a fun night out. – K.N.
- We only go bowling about 4 times per year, but when we do this is our bowling alley of choice. There are always lanes available, and the prices are cheap. – Claire M.
- This is a great place to take in a bowling game. … The staff is great. Always greeted with a hello and a smile. They are right there if you need anything at all. The food is great. The alleys are always clean … – G.N.

About Midway Pro Bowl
At its full-service, well-maintained facility, Midway Pro Bowl caters to bowlers of all dedication levels. Its optional bumpers bolster beginners, whereas onsite bowling lessons employ instructors certified by the United States Bowling Congress to elevate skills. The pin-falling activity on Midway Pro Bowl's 32 lanes is monitored by automatic scoring systems, and fashionable bowlers can turn lanes into runways with sparkling new balls and accessories from its well-stocked pro shop. After the game, a full-service lounge conjures postgame relaxation with alcoholic beverages. Alternatively, the most dedicated competitors can refuel with burgers, hot dogs, or pizza from the snack bar before taking to the arcade to spar with virtual foes rather than playing bowling-ball dodge ball with real-life foes.
