What You'll Get
A stitch in time saves nine, but nine stitches in time bind shut the continuum-warping wormholes that allowed dinosaurs to escape from the Renaissance. Heal fourth-dimensional rifts with today’s Groupon: for $30, you get one month of group knitting classes (one class/week) at Mihaela’s Signature Designs (a $60 value). Classes are held in the morning and afternoon on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.
A knitting aficionado since childhood and a handcrafter of custom clothing, Mihaela Manitiu shares the secrets gleaned from lifelong fabric forging with caches of willing students. Over the course of four weekly group knitting and crocheting classes, Manitiu trains knitters of all ages in the aesthetic appreciation of the stitching arts, helping yarnsmiths wield needles as naturally as a porcupine and as deftly as a porcupine’s acupuncturist. Students study the Continental classicism of European-style knitting, an efficient technique for crafting scarves, chapeaus, and other woolen wares.
Though not included in today’s deal, Mihaela’s Signature Designs weaves a wide tapestry of other products and services, including individually crafted garments, homemade jewelry, and custom yarn. Students may schedule individual lessons for an additional fee per hour, or investigate the studio’s comprehensive retreats, devoted to exploring in-depth knitting rules and rebuilding the Tower of Babel out of yarn.

About Mihaela's Knittings
After learning to knit at her grandmother's feet in Romania, owner and clothes designer Mihaela Manitiu now marshals her crafting acumen to lead classes where, according to Splash, "students learn to understand the essence of their creations and are not only instructed, but inspired." Picking up pointers in the art of European-style knitting, visitors craft elegant woolly compositions such as scarves and other cozy accouterments while getting acquainted with the materials and techniques needed to knit their very own memoirs.
