What You'll Get
Archaeologists believe bowling was originally a method for ancient Egyptians to keep their anthropomorphic cats from growing slothful and indolent. Work your vestigial cat muscles with today's Groupon to Mission Bowl. For $8, you'll get three regular games and shoe rental at either of Mission Bowl's locations in Mission and Olathe. Though you must use your Groupon in one visit, you may share your Groupon with other people.
A family-owned business for three generations, Mission Bowl has learned a few things about keeping everyone happy. Older bowlers will enjoy the selection of beers, wines, and spirits from Mission Bowl's full snack bar, while kids will unconsciously enjoy the smoke-free and relatively poltergeist-free atmosphere. Mission Bowl also hosts the largest senior league in Kansas City, so Grandpa and Grandma will have something do besides look embarrassed at your dated jokes and meandering stories. Ultimately, though, everyone will bond over that innate human love for the sound a weighted orb makes when it collides with a gaggle of helpless wooden pins.
Besides strengthening arm muscles, thighs, glutes, calves, and Jeff Bridges impressions, 10-pin bowling at Mission Bowl strengthens socio-familial bonds by giving friends and families a casual, nonviolent arena to challenge each other over chit-chat and fermented ales. This all-inclusive atmosphere makes Mission Bowl the perfect venue for introducing friends from different social circles. Bring your poetry friends to play your fantasy football buddies, or build camaraderie with coworkers after a long day coworking.
Your Groupon is not valid for Rock n' Bowl (Fridays and Saturdays from 10 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.), Quarter Mania (Wednesdays from 10 p.m. to 12 a.m.), or Buck Night (Sundays from 8:30 p.m. to 12 a.m.). Tax is included with this deal.
- Mission Bowl is your typical bowling alley setting complete with bar and snack stand. The menu is a little more expansive than some alleys, and the food is pretty good. – Mindy White, Citysearch
- Great place for families. Family fun leagues are great. – rmb, Yahoo! Local
- we actually stopped here to use the restrooms, but ended up bowling. I really was impressed with the clean, friendly, child friendly atmosphere. – Kareena W., Insider Pages
