Next Level Tutoring for English Language Arts came to fruition through two very opposite friends: A book-loving English teacher and a technology-driven web developer and analyst. Josh (“Mr. B” to his students) holds a standard Texas teaching certificate for grades 6-12 in English Language Arts. He is going on four years of teaching in the secondary classroom (all 6-12 grade levels!) He is a former professional writing and ESL tutor for Lone Star College. He received his Bachelors from University of Missouri. Josh specializes in STAAR intervention and support for reading, writing, and EOC exams as well as ESL support. He has taught both advanced and remedial English courses. His approach to teaching is based on real world application, simplicity, relevance, and most importantly, never forgetting the importance of building relationships with his students.
