What You'll Get
Similar to tickling a bear without losing an arm, the art of breathing underwater requires years of practice and dedication. Introduce your lungs to aqueous awareness with today’s Groupon: for $19, you get an introductory scuba-diving class (a $39.95 value) at Ocean Sands Scuba in Holland.
Ocean Sands Scuba's team of experienced dive instructors trains underwater explorers in its custom-built pool. The introductory scuba-diving class starts with a short introduction, which covers the proper use of equipment (all of which is included) and basic underwater-breathing theory before moving on to pool-based training. In the facility's large diving pool, budding aquapeople frolic and train for oceanic escapades under the watchful eye of one of Ocean Sands Scuba’s seasoned scubamen. Gearing up and stretching flippers in the pool teaches divers-to-be how to function during open-water dives or while wreck-diving off the shores of Lake Michigan, where the ancient vessels of Atlantis still reside.

About Ocean Sands Scuba
Ocean Sands Scuba's knowledgeable instructors guide divers into the deep with scuba training for beginner and advanced aquanauts alike. Interested patrons test their sea lungs in introductory scuba classes, splashing about in the facility's custom-built pool before moving on to a complete certification course. During certification, students pick up essential information on equipment, techniques, and the trendiest Atlantean nightclubs through in-class study and pool dives. After four weekly classes, burgeoning submergers hit the open water on one of Ocean Sands Scuba's dive trips to Gull Lake or Lake Michigan. Ocean Sands Scuba also stocks scuba equipment from Scubapro, Diverite, and Stahlsac for divers who have already reached certification or for hydrophobic sea turtles.
