If it weren't for the complimentary mimosas, bloody marys, and screwdrivers, brunch at Parlay Gastropub could seem like a kid's dream breakfast. Consider some of the more decadent options: Rice Krispy french toast, cookies and cream pancakes with crushed Oreos and chocolate drizzle, and Nutella-stuffed french toast. There's even a birthday cake masquerading as pancakes—the birthday stack, as it's aptly called, with Funfetti buttermilk pancakes topped with vanilla icing and rainbow sprinkles.
Yet despite all the kid-friendly dishes—including a separate kids' menu—Parlay Gastropub is still decidedly grownup, both at brunch and dinner. It starts with the high-quality pub food: barbecue duck flatbreads, Belgium-style mussel bowls, and daily-ground burgers topped with cilantro aioli or chipotle spread. These dishes pair with 40 craft beers and cocktails, and beer lovers can also sample a beer flight with meals. Flatscreen TVs play sports during daily happy hours throughout the week, and specials such as Wednesday trivia make it tempting to leave the kids at home, possibly with a Slinky for diversion.
