The service was great, and we appreciated the extension of our Groupon. However, both of our main courses had too much garlic. I am mildly garlic intolerant, but even my husband, who enjoys garlic, felt the amount of garlic overpowered the taste. The portions were wonderfully generous, though, for our second and third servings, I rinsed about half of the pasta with water from the sink and then mixed the rinsed pasta with the garlic-heavy pasta. Then it was much better. But we shouldn't have to do this. in the future, we will ask that you use about half the amount of garlic.

Pasta Tree is a cozy little gem on the east side. Cute inside...great pasta. Due to covid we ordered take out. When we got home 30 minutes later, everything was warm but tasty nonetheless. The scallops with artichoke cream was a favorite along with the cioppino. Shop, dine and support local during these trying times!

As always, the food and atmosphere were good. We came toward the end of the night, and learned they were out of bread. I had the pasta carbonara, which I enjoyed (although it was drowned in a lot of sauce). But at my slight hint, 😇 our waitress provided a dessert to make up for no bread. 👍🏻

Staff made it very easy to redeem groupon despite the pandemic. I elected to do carryout and it was hassle free. I learned that they have an advanced air filtration system with UV light that can kill virus, so if I were not in a high risk group, I would consider dine in.

About The Pasta Tree Restaurant & Wine Bar

Homemade from egg, spinach, or whole wheat, The Pasta Tree Restaurant & Wine Bar's namesake pasta earned the eatery the honor of best Italian restaurant and runner-up for best romantic restaurant on Express Milwaukee's Best of Milwaukee 2012 list. Now celebrating 35 years of dining excellence, chefs toss them with ingredients such as a gorgonzola Alfredo sauce, caramelized mushrooms, and Australian lobster tail. They incorporate more local ingredients into other homemade delicacies, such as fresh baked bread and tiramisu.

To help wash down each homemade bite, barkeeps pour reds and whites by the glass, whip up classic cocktails, and decant local beers. Feasts unfold in The Pasta Tree Restaurant & Wine Bar's European-style bistro, split between an intimate dining room and a cozy wine bar. There, a fireplace thaws chilly customers in the winter, while a secret garden patio opens in summer to surround diners with aromatic flowers, tranquil fountains, and gnomes that lust after your food but never touch it. Customers also have the option to take the bistro fare to take to a festival or enjoy in a park or on a boat by ordering the gourmet picnic basket for two .
