What You'll Get
Though spinning massive amounts of dough above one's head is an amusing way to display a coin collection, it requires superhuman stamina to maintain. Rest your triceps and leave the dough-spinning to the pros with today's Groupon: for $15, you get $30 worth of pizza and Italian fare at Prosciutto's Pizzeria & Pub in Cornelius.
Though it’s been open a mere five years, Prosciutto's has quickly made a name for itself through word of mouth and relentless skywriting. It’s known to many as the Cheers of pizzerias, and Citysearchers voted it Charlotte's Best Restaurant in 2009 and Best Pizza in 2010. Prosciutto's NY-style pizzas come in three sizes (8-inch mini,12 inch, and 16 inch) with limitless combinations. If you decide to build your own 16 incher, start with a foundation of basic cheese ($12.29), then add standard garnishes such as onions, peppers, mushrooms, and italian sausage ($1.50 each) and premium toppings such as bacon, shaved steak, grilled chicken, and sapphires ($2.00 each).
There is a plethora of specialty pizzas such as the mexican taco (hamburger, tomatoes, black olives, onions, salsa, cheddar, mozzarella; $20.29 for a 16 inch), and the florentine (olive oil and garlic base, onions, mushrooms, spinach, feta, mozzarella; $18.29 for a 16 inch). The restaurant also offers a full menu of foods that aren’t circles made of triangles: salads, sandwiches, wings, pasta dishes, and desserts.
With the NFL Sunday Ticket showing games on 14 TVs, you can catch the game at a place more comfortable than your couch. Mommies and daddies aren’t the only ones allowed to enjoy themselves at Prosciutto’s; the kids' menu, children’s play area, and smoke-free environment create the family-friendliest atmosphere Charlotte has to offer, ever since pumas took over that cupcake factory.

About Prosciutto's Pizzeria & Pub
Prosciutto's Pizzeria & Pub hosts an updated menu of New York–style pizza and Italian fare that earned the establishment Best Pizza and Best Italian Food. To complement the traditional pastas, white pizzas, and pies slathered in daily-made tomato sauce, a lengthy beer and wine list features craft beers, imported brews, and a wealth of red and white wines.
The family-friendly pub and pizzeria is divided in two: The kids side with video games and toys has seceded from an adult section that houses a bar. A warm atmosphere, plenty of TVs, and trivia machines make the veritable gourmet pizza lover's paradise enjoyable for adults and kids alike. Thursday nights host seasonal cornhole tournaments outdoors on the patio, weather permitting.
