In the middle ages, the guided tour was merely a ploy to rope unsuspecting castle enthusiasts into a lifetime of servitude and labor. See the sights ploy-free with today’s Groupon: for $7, you get two tickets to a Qwest Field Tour (up to a $14 value) at Qwest Field, home to the professional Seahawks football and Sounders soccer teams. Tours are available in the fall, winter, and spring on Fridays and Saturdays at 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. During the summer, tours are offered daily at the same times.

Qwest Field and its locally lauded American football and rest-of-the-world football teams, the 2006 NFC champion Seattle Seahawks and the 2009 U.S. Open Cup champion Seattle Sounders, bring dual-sported joy to thousands of citizens. The tour gives fans an opportunity to see the facility from a number of privileged perspectives. Upon arriving at the field, you will meet your guide and tourmates at the Seahawks pro shop before setting off into the vast expanse of the 67,000-seat stadium.

The tour first stops in a luxury suite, so participants can pretend to be a 19th-century oilman, before heading to the visitors’ locker room. After hitting the showers, attendees have the opportunity to set foot on the Seahawks’ 120-yard-long playing field. The stadium is known for being the first NFL field to use the next-generation FieldTurf playing surface, as well as the only one whose walls generate crowd-pleasing acoustics that mysteriously turn the sounds of bones crunching into Captain & Tennille hooks. Along the journey, knowledgeable guides will impart a complete understanding of the massive complex, making it intriguing for diehard football fans, tie-dye-dressed soccer fans, and sports tyros who love fact-loaded tours.
