Like attaching a fake mustache to a Halloween mask or cleverly changing your name from Obi-Wan Kenobi to Ben Kenobi, adding a new ingredient to something familiar can render it delightfully unrecognizable. Enjoy inventive eats with today's Groupon: for $20, you get $40 worth of contemporary American fare at Rialto Cafe.

Rialto Cafe houses a smorgasbord of contemporary American breakfast, lunch, and dinner bites depicted on the myriad menus, many of which are mottled with gluten-free and vegetarian options. Evening eats include a bacon-swathed slab of Buffalo meatloaf simmering in gravy beside a cherubim-crafted cloud of mashed potatoes, corn, and red peppers ($14.99). Heaps of celery, carrots, peas, and potatoes swim in a sage-cream sauce cocooned by the chicken pot pie's flaky puff pastry ($14.99). The blackened-salmon salad corrals a herd of assorted greens and feta ($13.99), and the all-natural Colorado bison burger ($12.99) beefs up barren bellies.

Scarlet tables freckle two levels of multihued decorations ornamenting the electric-green walls, and patio dining, like skydiving with a mouthful of hamburger, allows visitors to nibble on dinner while enjoying fresh, high-altitude air.

Rialto Cafe

Named for the Rialto Theater, a “picture theater” that once occupied the storefront next door, Rialto Cafe harkens back to the glamorous refinement of pre-multiplex Hollywood. Rialto Cafe is suitable for dinner before the theatre, meeting up for cocktails, a hearty power breakfast or quick lunch - fresh and convenient on Denver's 16th Street Mall. Visitors can complement their meals with sips of classic cocktails and wine culled from an expansive menu of glass and bottle selections. Gluten free and vegetarian menu items available.

Customer Reviews

I attended the Women's March today. When it was over I went to The Rialto, where I had a lovely lunch accompanied by Patron Tequila. Despite the extremely crowded Restaurant, the service was prompt and friendly. I'd recommend this Downtown spot to everyone.

Food and service were OK but nothing to write home about compared to similar places with better food at half the price.

Service was great! Wine list very extensive. Cashew Kale Salad was delicious as well as Bison Meatloaf.
