Kayaking is a workout that surrounds you with nature, like chopping down a tree or escaping from a coffin. Look alive with this Groupon.
Choose Between Two Options
- $45 for a three-hour self-guided kayaking trip on the lower canyon of the Kinnickinnic River for two (a $90 value)
- $89 for the above self-guided kayaking trip for four (a $180 value)
On this 8-mile stretch of swift, rock-strewn Class I rapids, kayakers paddle along a spring-fed trout stream that offers challenging turns, undeveloped banks lined with trees and wildflowers, and wildlife including great blue herons. After meeting participants at a designated meet-up point, staff transport adventurers to and from the launch site. Fishing guides are available for an additional fee ($20/hour).
River Guide Kayaks
Great blue herons stalking the wildflowers along the Kinnickinnic River. Trout leaping out of the water to feed. Owner and lifelong outdoorsman Mike Kealy and his guides lead kayaking trips past these and more dramatic sites, which typify the undeveloped riverbanks throughout eastern Minnesota and western Wisconsin. Each outing begins at a select meet-up point, from which guides provide shuttle service to and from the launch sites. Along with unveiling the rivers’ untouched scenery, River Guide’s team can also add a fishing guide to each trip, taking guests into streams teeming with brown, rainbow, and zebra-striped trout.
