Rosemont Manor’s tea service features a three-course menu of sandwiches, scones, and sweets. Each course is served with a black, green, or rooibos tea that’s been locally sourced from Tea for All Reasons in Winchester.
Manor tours last 20 minutes and canvass the outside grounds, as well as the grand foyer, parlor, and sunroom of a historic site frequented by multiple US presidents. Arrive 30 minutes early if you’d like to begin your tour prior to the tea service, or arrive 10 minutes early if you’d like to wait until after the service is over to begin the tour.
Historic Rosemont Manor
What do Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Dwight D. Eisenhower, John F. Kennedy, and Richard Nixon all have in common besides their occupancy of the Oval Office? Each former president has experienced the Southern hospitality, historic charms, and bountiful breakfasts of the Historic Rosemont Manor. Set on 60 acres of rolling Virginian real estate, the Georgian-style manor has endured more than 200 years of presidential visitations, drawing favorable comparisons to Mount Vernon, Monticello, and James Madison’s groovy pad.
A visit to the main manor house takes guests beneath a columned portico. Inside, tour-goers discover a grand foyer, a parlor, and a sunroom. Outside on the property’s expansive grounds, mature oaks and poplars provide shade for azaleas, dogwoods, and an intriguing abundance of rare trees.
