What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition? We are a full service Dental Office with a purpose to make everyone love and enjoy going to the Dentist again. There are so many bad stigma about going to the Dentist, that we will knock your socks off and not your teeth! We know that going to the Dentist can be scary and daunting, but it doesn’t have to be that way. Your first visit with us will be an extraordinary visit. We welcome all our patients with tea, coffee, water and juice. We spend the quality time talking with our patients, not at them, so that they understand why teeth are so important to them in the long run. We explain everything with photos, models and images so that they can be knowledgable about their own health. Once they are ready to start treatment, we pamper them with noise cancelling headphones for movies or music, cozy blankets because it does get cold in the dental office, knee pillows to relax the back, lavender oil therapy to calm their senses, and we work with our lights off to reduce any bright blinding lights. We are even experts at numbing up patients with our amazing accupressure technique that even a scaredy cat will feel invincible after the appointment. We call our patients after their visit to make sure they are doing well and even the day after to make sure they are happy patients. So we invite everybody to come check us out and see what the hype is all about and change their perception about going to the Dentist.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business? I’ve had my fair shares of bad Dentists where I was terrified and even turned off by going to the Dentist. Even a regular cleaning hurt so bad, I was crying throughout the whole procedure and the Dentist never once cared for me during the agonizing 45 minutes. So my inspiration turned into a solution and not a problem. BE THE CHANGE! I became a Dentist because I can either talk about it or do something about it. I watched and observe so many great Dentists that I was lucky to learn from as well as work with that I envisioned my purpose and goal and to make Dentists great again. And the only way I knew how it was going to change was start a revolution, Rosy Dental. “Rosy” means cheerful and happy and that worked out with the play on name with my nick name “Rosie.” So it was meant to be and one of my pinnacles in life.
What do you love most about your job? I love making people cry. That is, cry with happy tears! I enjoy making people love their smile again and in turn themselves. I enjoy making them feel good about themselves in that they are in control of their health again and make people look at Dentists as Doctors again. Doctors are supposed to care for people and that is what I love about my career!
What is the best reaction you’ve ever gotten from a customer? The best reaction I ever got was from an 11 year old boy was “I love the shots!” “Can you do it again!?!” I was floored with laughter!! The reason why was he was so terrified of the shots and the needle because it was his first time ever getting a filling. So after our first easy visit of a cleaning and after consoling and convincing him that I was only here to make him feel better and not pain, he let me numb him up. I did my accupressure technique on him with the help of my assistant and he was so amazed that it didn’t hurt! He was actually amazed at himself for being courageous that he loved it and enjoyed every visit with me thereafter.
