Wines, like spouses, must be sampled and thoroughly sniffed before choosing one to spend a life with. Put a cork in the selection process with today's Groupon for tickets to the City of Angels Wine Fest, presented by the Rotary Club of Los Angeles Foundation at the Music Center Plaza on Monday, May 30, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Choose from the following options:

  • For $35, you get a food and wine ticket, which grants four food tickets and unlimited servings of wine (a $70 value).
  • For $75, you get a VIP ticket, which grants unlimited food and wine and access to the Foundation Room (a $150 value).
  • For $12, you get a food-only ticket, which grants four food tickets (a $25 value).

The City of Angels Wine Fest is an annual charity event that treats eyes, ears, and mouths to a selection of cuisine, art, and music drenched in dribblings from 24 California wineries, including Wilson Creek, Hunt Cellars, and Flora Spring. Beverage-happy bodies are balanced with selections from five local restaurants, including the handmade pastas and wood-fired neapolitan pizzas from Italian eatery Zucca Ristorante, farmer's market-inspired Californian cuisine from Café Pinot, gourmet meat envelopes from Tina Tacos, dry-aged protein from Nick & Stef's steakhouse, and modern French cuisine from Kendall's Brasserie. Tunes from The Family Crest and Ours underscore the event, and the silent auction challenges attendees to use only their charades skills to barter for donated creations from local artists.

Proceeds from the Wine Fest benefit the Volunteers of America's Rotary House, a 20,000-square-foot facility that houses more than 1,800 homeless persons and exactly 2,880,000 square inches annually.
