The Sebastopol Documentary Film Festival gives a voice to local and international filmmakers through its annual soiree and screenings throughout the year. Named one of the12 Small-Town Documentary Film Festivals for 2012 by POV Blog and among the 25 coolest film festivals by MovieMaker magazine, the yearly festival flaunts a global bouquet of cinema set amid the vineyards of Wine Road. Members enjoy access to advance ticket sales to the festival, as well as invitations to members-only previews with festival programmers and permission to wear a vest made of popcorn. Members also receive a quarterly newsletter, invitations to exclusive screenings before the fest, and entrance to two Best of the Fest screenings held later in the year. Promoting connections with the local filmmaking community, the festival showcases a strong Latino presence through a variety of styles and experimental work.
