Skybox Sports Grill
Skybox Sports Grill provides more than sturdy stools for catching the game—it gives the neighborhood a place to stop in, grab a bite and a Michigan-brewed beer, and enjoy a variety of live entertainment throughout the week. The doors stay open and the revelry rolls on until as late as 2 a.m. on select evenings. Trivia competitions allow guests to test their skills. The bar also seeks out local bands for live sets.
Even with all of the activity, visitors can still find the time to sit and savor some American comfort foods with a beer. Almost everything on the menu is made fresh and in-house. Skybox cheese barrels hand-roll pepper jack, monterey, and cheddar cheeses into a fried won ton shell. Black Angus burgers arrive topped with everything from applewood-smoked bacon and frizzled onions to jalapeños and Cajun ranch. Fresh St. Louis-style ribs practically fall off the bone, and smoky mac and cheese blends bacon and ham with four different cheeses. Alongside these roadhouse staples, the menu also features dishes from south of the border, such as chicken enchiladas and shrimp fajitas. Fridays devote themselves fish and chips dinners and fresh steaks and pulled pork, while Saturdays and Sundays match breakfast with a create-your-own Bloody Mary bar.
Flat-screen televisions and small ceiling lamps help illuminate the granite bar, pool tables, and brick walls adorned with all manner of sports memorabilia. During the warmer seasons, Skybox Sports Grill opens its outdoor patio seating to the public.
