Smokey Joe's BBQ
Smokey Joe's BBQ first fired up its smoker in 1985, and 30 years later, it's still turning out smoked pork ribs, beef brisket, and chicken every day. Pit masters pile the meats between slices of Texas toast, heap them on plates with beans and potato salad, or stuff them into loaded baked potatos with butter, cheese, and sour cream. The kitchen also prepares specials throughout the week, such as Sunday's specialty smothered ribs, which come paired with mashed potatoes and green beans to make weekends more than just the time to wash the car or yell at the grass. Smokey Joe's contributions far exceed its size and even the reach of the smoker's aromas—for 30 years, the business has donated food to local shelters, youth sports camps, and the Ronald McDonald House.
