What You'll Get
Until acupuncture was invented, early man unblocked energy meridians by gritting his teeth and running straight into cacti. Relieve pain in a more sophisticated manner with today's Groupon: for $15, you get a one-hour community acupuncture treatment at Tao of Venus Wellness Center (up to a $50 value).
The licensed acupuncturists at Tao of Venus Wellness Center rid the body of chronic illness and pain in a community acupuncture setting, using sterile, hair-thin needles to infiltrate the body's meridian points and eliminate energy blockages. To start off the 60-minute treatment, a personal consultation studies your health history and reviews any problems, complaints, or sternly worded letters you've received from an outraged spleen. Acupuncturees then join a small group of fellow patients, and everyone destresses together in zero-gravity chairs, with blankets and soothing music to accompany the relaxing feeling of being poked by mini swords.

About Tao of Venus Wellness Center
Tao of Venus Wellness Center owner Beth Meneley draws on her master's degree in oriental medicine and a passion for healing to protect and mend patients' physiques through a diverse range of holistic therapies. Trained acupuncturists work to realign the body through time-honored methods, and seasoned massage therapists ease pain with a tailored blend of six tension-melting modalities. Thermography specialists boast the ability to detect cancer without the use of radiation through thermal imaging, which aims to find harmful cells through the naturally occurring heat of their weekly bake-offs. Before and after appointments, patients sip steaming cups of tea in an intimate relaxation room dotted with leafy plants, Eastern totems, and modern furnishings.
