I was a little disappointed that it was Mary Kay products. I did learn some contouring techniques though.

Melissa is a good and kind instructor. She has a wealth of knowledge and experience about makeup application. My sister and I tremendously enjoyed our session and were surprised at a number of the tips for where and how to highlight facial features, especially above the eyes, that Melissa shared. Melissa was patient, understanding, and encouraging which allowed us to grow in our confidence for applying makeup. I definitely will take other classes. Thanks Melissa.

Bring synthetic brushes(not real hair) with you. And a head band or rubber to tie your hair back. Wear no or very little makeup. You will need a clean face to start. You will have lots of fun. Melissa is very nice and friendly and makes the class quite enjoyable.

A great place to gather your friends for a girls night out! I just went with 4 of my neighborhood lady friends and we had a BLAST!!!!! The owner Melissa was as sweet as can be. She really took the time to pamper us and we all really appreciated that. She gave each of us a make over and we even got to choose what look we wanted. She uses Mary Kay products and naturally, as a business owner, has to try and sell the products. To my amazement, she did not push it on us or force us or even for a split second make us feel awkward or bad for not purchasing anything. Because she was so genuine, we actually talked about going back to buy some products just because. That's how wonderful she was.

About The Glam Factory!

Though she dabbled in makeup on the side, Melissa Kay Wade-Bluemel stuck with her day job as an accountant for nearly five years. Then, in 2010, Melissa finally abandoned the corporate world to open her own makeup studio, The Glam Factory! Fed up with the frazzled, impersonal atmosphere indigenous to mall makeup booths and drive-thru pharmacies, Melissa designed her studio to be a spot for girl talk and forming a real bond with clients. That’s why, in addition to applying quality makeup for special occasions, Melissa and her staff of makeup artists host regular glamour events. The studio also welcomes private parties, such as bridal and bachelorette parties, fundraisers, and corporate events.

The decor of the studio transforms these bashes into affairs more whimsical than a 6-year-old’s fashion sense. A black-and-pink color scheme predominates: zebra-print and magenta throw pillows scatter across a cream couch, and black paisley decorates the walls.
