$38 for One 250-Milliliter Bottle of Italian Extra-Virgin Olive Oil and One 250-Milliliter Bottle of Italian Aged Balsamic Dressing Sauce ($76.54 Value)

Cosimo's Maria Masini winery creates Premium Selection extra-virgin olive oil using Tuscan olives. The olive oil works well as a finishing oil for salads, meat, or fish. The Guido family produces Guido's Balsamic Dressing Sauce by aging the must of Lambruscho and Trebbiano grapes in oak barrels for a minimum of four years. The dressing complements salad, fresh strawberries, or ice cream, and can be used as a marinade for meats.

The Scrumptious Pantry

Born in Düsseldorf, Germany Lee Greene moved to Italy to complete her master's degree, but the move eventually prompted her to leave school rather than earn a diploma. "I fell in love with the food culture there and decided that I wanted to stop being a consultant and do something that was more valuable," she told Epicurious writer Joanne Camas in an interview. That "something more valuable" turned out to be The Scrumptious Pantry, a company that connects small Italian and American farms to conscientious consumers who appreciate the integrity of the farmers' products. A sampling of The Scrumptious Pantry's offerings might include heirloom pickles from Wisconsin, sun-dried-tomato tapenade from Italy, or cheese handmade by an industrious family of cows. Customers can shop online or in person at the Logan Square Farmers Market and other food-centered events.
