The Beef Tenderloin Sicilian was excellent and cooked perfectly. I would highly recommend it and the Chicken Romano. The restaurant is very service oriented.

I had not been here in 2 years, and usually the food and service are outstanding. On this visit, not so much. After we were sat at our table, nobody approached us for twenty minutes. Then we had to ask for menus. There was only 1 server in the dining room to take care of everyone. After 30 minutes, our order was finally taken. Food came out on time, but it was not up to the usual standards I am used to at this restaurant. Our server was working very hard to keep up with all the tables, bugt they were definitely short staffed as the sign on their front door said. I felt like the server did not have much time to spend with us, and she was more of an order taker. I do not blame her, as she was doing the best job she could under the circumstances. Next time I come here, I will call first to make sure they have the staff on duty to meet the needs of their customers.

Subtle flavors pair with an elegant ambiance inside Trattoria Toscana's new Gravois Road location. Beneath framed prints of the Leaning Tower of Pisa and other Italian landmarks, the tops of high bar chairs taper out like the shoulders of an evening gown. White tablecloths are creased in evenly pressed squares and hold plates of authentic Italian pastas and chicken, veal, and seafood sautéed in delicate wine sauces.
