Was this room under renovation and we were rented it while workers were on vacation? When we checked in we were told the hotel was being renovated and the workers were on a 5 day vacation. When we got into the room it appeared as though the room was in the middle of being renovated. The floor was so disgusting I got on my hands and knees and cleaned it with a towel (photo attached). Lights were missing bulbs and upon turning on the heat the smell of burned dust was thick (all though it did disipate eventually). Outlets looked to have been placed into the wall in a very sloppy fashion and no texture matched whatsoever. The room overall looked like it was in the middle of being renovated but as the workers were gone they'd just done the minimum (less actually) to make it rentable. We paid $130 for the room and felt robbed!! As it was the only room left according to the booking site and as we checked in at 11pm we were stuck, but come on.....that was beyond disgusting. The bed was clean, the water hot and the towels provided though...but you'd expect that from a $50 room. For $130 you'd want a floor you can walk on in your bare feet, lights that work and some remnance of a room that was ready to be used. "Best value"....not for what we were charged and the cleanliness/quality we got.

All good I travel for work and management made my month long stay easy with affordable payment arrangements based on my pay days. The breakfast was a plus...and fortunately for myself, the hotel had a lot of traveling workers who just needed a clean room and quiet nights to prepare for the long hot days.

Sloppy The room rate was a little high. The pool area was junky. There were a few chairs and one or two were broken. The desk clerk was ok, but he suggested we go to another motel. We wanted to get two rooms so we could all stay at the same motel. We were told that they don't rent to Abilene residents.

Sue Sue was so patient and kind with me when there was a mess up with the booking company I went through. She fixed it and was a true customer service rep. Thx, Sue! We will definitely be back to this establishment.

Run Down Staff was super nice. Lobby was clean. Room had been cleaned, but the room was very run down, bathroom was nasty -- toilet leaked, shower was falling apart, door didn't shut, no iron in the room. Staff was trying, but place just needs renovation.
