For once an organized hotel!!! 4r5tt6rr55The staff here truly has everything organized and done in real time as opposed to disarray and multiple things being piled up due to either lack of staff or lack of worth ethic shown in many young people today. Every staff member I saw or dealt with truly showed effort and you could really tell that they actually cared about what kind of job they did. If you’re an older gentleman like me you will love this place because it has “it”. aThis is the way a business is supposed to run in America, as you truly can not just see but feel the compassion to help you coming from each employee which makes this place truly feel like a home awayfrom home. So fear of, stay here a feel welcome, relax and get one of the best night’s sleep uin a hostel you’ve set hard. The little things gtruly do make a huge impact on the environment of a place and this is an “emerald” in the rough haha. You will easily see why this has been one of the longest running hotels here in Abilene. P.S. I’m not condoning this but if you youngsters truly want to experience the night life in Abilene there us a liquid store and. 24/7 Whataburger both within about 50 steps of the front entrance. Hangover Friendly hotel for sure for the young and at the same time peaceful for those of us that have grown out of that stage. THE EMERALD INN TRULY HAS IT ALL!!!!! Sincerely, John Brady Pair

Lost $174.00 because I refused to stay on unsanitary property Wife reserved room on Hotel.com. Paid on card upon arrival for 3 days 174.00 and cash disposit of 50.00. Upon driving to room 163 at the rear of the property we observed property to be dirty and unkept. The pool had no water, tree branches, trash and debris in it. Upon walking up to room I observed dry dog food all over ground and rock bed and broken office chair at entrance. I then opened door and observed bed to have been recently slept in, a dirty wash cloth, paper bag, as well as blood stains and other unknown stains on bed. I observed trash on floor and opened mail under desk. The bathroom counter top had refrigerator and microwave in front of un usable vanity mirror and roaches on bathroom floor. Not only worried about Covid-19 but other infectious diseases due to unsanitary conditions of room. I immediately returned to front office to check out. I was offered another room but advised the clerk that what I observed from the time I left office is indicative of what rest of property's has to offer, nothing but dirty and unsanitary rooms and no pool. I immediately ask for my money back. I was given deposit back but told the 174.00 was "non refundable". I called the Abeline police department for stand by for refusal of money. I notified Hotel.com of property miss information and pictures. This was to be a simple trip to lake after weeks of quarantine, but just another example of how unsanitary some places can be. I am posting this because of injustice. By the hotel refused giving my hard earned money back and forcing me to stay in unsanitary premise or find shelter elsewhere at my expense..The clerk attempted to again offer another room and was not mean or aggressive. The clerk advised that I could come back in morning when manager was in for refund but I asked for it imediately because my wife and I were going to and needed a room for night. The clerk then called manager who advised non refundable per hotel policy. My wife and I ended up driving 2 plus hours back home overnight and lost $174.00 in 30 minutes plus food and gas expenses to and from home. We had another couple coming up the following day. We advised them to cancel. Hotel.com gave us a $45.00 refund voucher for reservation and apologized for loss of money and will investigate. How would you feel? What would you do? "Do not stay at this hotel" for your health and safety.

Clean sheets a must during this covid19 Bed bugs, fleas, roaches and more. Have been here right at 30 days away from home while my husband is working..1300 out of pocket for less than one month. :( Clearly they are not worried about anyone health during this time...two weeks now my sheets have not been exchanged. Another excuse of course this week. This place is seriously lacking in the customer service department. I was raised that when your guests needed somthing, you get it for them.

Unbelievably horrible service. I stay at 30+ hotels a year. By far, in my 15 years, I’ve never had the lack of service or professionalism displayed from anywhere in the country. Clerk argued with me at a locked door that He didn’t have any reservations... I explained I had one and already paid online. After much debate, he checked the printer, and low-behold, there was my reservation which had been made an hour and a half previous... after 15 minutes of explaining his pet policy, (which I explained 3 times I had no pets) and the no smoking policy, (to which I explained I didn’t smoke) he folded a paper he had printed, and asked me to sign the bottom. I flipped the paper over so I could see what it was I was signing, he snatched it back over and said I couldn’t read that part and I just needed to sign it... things got bad here. I explained, as a grown adult, I don’t sign my name to anything I can’t read... (why would anyone!!!) he said fine, I’ll sign your name... I told him he damn sure wouldn’t... he then became more enraged, told me to Just go somewhere else and to cancel through Expedia... then calling Expedia, he refused to refund my money... By a land slide, the worst experience I’ve ever had attempting to rent a hotel room.
